BakeNext is BAKE’s formal expansion of the Bake Expo Bakery Startup Showcase, turning an informal exhibition feature into a structured, investor-grade pitchathon.
To make BAKE’s ecosystem, 12,000+ members strong and growing, the most credible launchpad for food and bakery innovation in South Asia, where every promising idea in food, packaging, processing and AgriTech has a clear, structured path to mentorship, market validation and investment.
To identify, mentor and elevate the next generation of food entrepreneurs by connecting them directly with the industry veterans, domain experts and investors already inside BAKE’s network, under the same organisation that has represented, protected and grown Kerala’s bakery industry since 2005.
Bake Expo has run a Bakery Startup Showcase as one of its BAKE.AWARDS programmes, giving early-stage bakery brands a way to present to industry veterans and buyers. It worked, but it deserved more structure, more visibility and a real investor pipeline behind it. BakeNext is that next step: the Showcase, rebuilt as a full FoodTech & Innovation Pitchathon, with two evaluation rounds, dedicated mentorship and a live Grand Finale on Bake Expo’s own Innovation & Launches day.
Bakers Association Kerala (BAKE) is the largest community of MSME bakeries in India, representing 12,000+ active bakery businesses across every district in Kerala through 140+ Mandalam and District Committees. Founded in 2005, BAKE has secured ₹25 lakh insurance protection for its members, driven a bakery VAT reduction from 12.5% to 4% through sustained government coordination, and delivered structured training in food safety, GST compliance and business management across the state. BAKE is also the founding body behind the Indian Bakers Federation (IBF), the national association representing MSME bakers across the country.
